After time in the hatchery and out in the cages at sea, the salmon comes to the factory by well-boat. There you can join us at one of the country's newest and largest salmon factories. This is one of Hitra's largest workplaces, and with many nationalities represented among the employees, it can serve as a good starting point for discussing the island region's large growth over the past decade.

Inside the factory on Jøsnøya, we see how the fish are pumped in from the well-boat. We follow the production line further to the finished fillet in boxes ready for export.
